More Than Just a Service
Where My Story Meets Yours
Hi, I’m Emily Walsall — the owner and case manager behind Settled Affairs.
I started this service after walking alongside my grandmother when my grandfather passed away. Like so many families, we were suddenly faced with a list of unfamiliar tasks and the emotional weight of managing them during an already difficult time.
What seemed like a simple to-do list became hours of phone calls, document requests, and confusion — just to close accounts and prove who we were. It was exhausting, and honestly, it felt like something no grieving family should have to navigate alone.
That experience stayed with me. I realized there was a gap between grief support and the kind of everyday administrative help people truly need.
Settled Affairs was created to fill that gap — with empathy, professionalism, and a calm, clear hand to guide the process.
